A lot of people have experienced great success through this means. But others still find it a struggle. This is as a result of some common mistakes they are making.

Logically Convincing Others

So You’ve been sold on a new opportunity. You’re all pumped. Filled with emotions and can’t wait to share it with others. But unfortunately for You, the first thing is to logically convince everyone You know about this new opportunity. You probably expected them to be as excited as You were but quickly found out that they were resistant.

As with other forms of marketing including network marketing, this is one of the biggest mistakes made. Before venturing into Your new network marketing opportunity You had an emotional experience that got You excited about it. As a result You started learning about the logical reasons behind the new opportunity it so as to justify Your decision. But when selling to others, You first try to logically convince them by telling them about the benefits and advantages, without first arousing their emotions through effective storytelling — experience they can relate to. Trying to Sell Friends and Family Members

Don’t get me wrong, trying to sell friends and family members on Your new network marketing opportunity is not a bad idea. Approaching this the wrong way and just resorting to this tactic alone is exhausting. Imagine if Your family members don’t sign up or they talk negatively about the opportunity You’re presenting them, it can be devastating even frustrating. A lot of people feel discouraged and drop out almost immediately after talking to a friend or loved one.

Even if Your community of friends and relatives support You, You eventually run out of people to bring in. As a result, Your response rates gradually reduce.

People don’t buy products/service, people buy experience, based on emotions.

Using The exact same template as other Network Marketers

If You do manage to go out of Your familiar circle to find strangers to sell to using social media, You realize one thing. Massive Competition. This is as a result of Network Marketing companies providing their followers with the same templates and instructions on how to sell. Everyone uses this same set of instructions, stories and approach in their selling. As a result of no differentiation there is massive competition for who can get people (customers) first. Who gets the word out there first.

In order to succeed online, You need to bring about Pattern interrupt, in other words, differentiation. Do not be the regular guy or girl that has the same marketing message that other members in Your circle are giving out. As a result You are sure to keep Your audience excited and can eventually see needed result.

Sending Prospects Directly to Your Network Company’s Corporate Website

Another big and common mistake network marketers make is sending prospects directly to their company’s corporate website. They do this in hopes of expecting them to buy products without first convincing them. People don’t buy product remember, people buy emotions and experience.

Even if You get them to visit Your company’s website and buy using Your link they’d find it hard to operate because most of this website is not mobile friendly. They are usually not designed by developers or programmers but by lawyers. As a result they are bad at converting people into customers or even convincing people to join.

Not Enabling Your downlines

This is pretty much the biggest mistake that even network marketing experts make as well. Expert marketers are good at recruiting others but really good marketers enable others. It doesn’t matter how many people You are able to recruit or sell to, it’s no use if they can’t recruit others under them.

A good network marketer should have the ability to train their recruits to be as effective as they are in selling. The secret to long term success in network marketing is being able to teach Your downlines how to recruit others or help them do so if possible. This provides You with residual income for life.
